A new study has showed that when it comes to driving, humans beings generally shouldn't be trusted when it comes to driving huge pieces of metal at high speeds all around the country.
And while all of us, regardless of age, are easily distracted by just about anything, it turns our that teenagers getting behind the wheel have the biggest potential for causing wrecks.
Even if you have "hands-free" devices to speak on the phone, this amount of distraction potentially puts other lives at risk. While it's not as distracting as looking down at your phone to answer a text, it still has the potential to lead to a catastrophic mistake that could end innocent lives.
It's pretty alarming to see how easily distracted we can get while operating these large machines, and hopefully this video will help us all realize that the phone can always wait, even when it comes to answering a call from a loved one. It's heartbreaking to hear the story of the young model, who had her whole life changed due to a tiny text from her mother. While she survived, her life will never be the same.
If you have an important call that just has to be made, you can always pull over to the side of the road. Too many people get in unneeded car wrecks every year, there is absolutely nothing worth putting your own life — and the lives of others on the road — at risk for a quick phone call!
Especially if you know any teens, this conversation just has to be had. If you have friends or family in the car, the road up ahead will always be more important than anything you have to talk about. It's surprising to find out that talking can lead to more distracted wrecks, but you should always play it safe!
Distracted driving is becoming deadlier and deadlier every single year. Let's see if we can take responsibility and take care of our own friends and family before the government has to come in to save us from ourselves.
Remember, if you see anyone you know texting while driving, let them know it can always wait!
