There are an infinite number of baby books that will tell you how to do everything for your baby from the moment they are born until they are old enough to walk and talk. If you read enough of these, you will realize that there are definitely multiple ways to handle each and every obstacle you might encounter.
Other friends and family members who have already had children are also a great source of advice, as they will tell you all the nitty-gritty details of the things you might not find in a book. However, they may have a totally different stye of parenting (after all, it's tailored to totally different children) — so you may find some useful info, but also plenty that doesn't apply to your kids.
