Right now, the world is facing a global threat unlike that which we have seen in the lifetime of anyone who is, well, alive on the planet right now. You would think this would be enough to quiet internet trolls who ceaselessly go after Harry and Meghan, but alas, you would be wrong.
The formerly royal pair recently announced that they would soon be launching their new foundation, Archewell. The name of the foundation was inspired by the word "arche," which means "source of action." That same word also inspired the name of their son, Archie. It's a pretty appropriate name for what will be the home of their work going forward.
Sadly, someone in the world just couldn't let Harry and Meghan have this moment. The troll purchased the domain ArchewellFoundation.com to tease and taunt Harry and Meghan. When the site first launched, visitors were greeted with Kanye West's 2005 video for the song "Gold Digger."

The song was used to take a jab at Meghan, who has been dogged by rumors that she married Harry for all of his money. This is a pretty gross way to try to irritate the couple, especially since the goal of Archewell is to do charitable work for numerous organizations and people. Meghan and Harry are definitely not the bad guys here.

This is also an excessive, rude step to take considering that Meghan and Harry have been very outspoken about their desire to be financially independent of the royal family. You could argue that the two should have bought every possible domain for their organization, but who could expect someone to really sink to this level?

Also, it's not like Meghan entered into the relationship without significant financial resources of her own. Meghan earned $50,000 an episode while she was on Suits, and she also has money from various jobs she's had over the years. She was estimated to have around $5 million of her own money in the bank before she married Harry.

In other words, she entered the relationship already financially independent. Harry also has his own money left to him by his mother. He and Prince William inherited around $13 million from their mother when they became adults. His great-grandmother also reportedly left him millions in pounds after her death.

And now that they are independent of the crown, Meghan and Harry are free to earn money however they see fit. The idea that Meghan is in the relationship for money is, frankly, ludicrous, and is one more example of the type of bullying that the two have been fighting against since they started dating.

Royal financial expert David McClure has a lot of ideas about how the two may try to make their own stakes in the world. He told the BBC, "I suppose they could get money from writing books, a more likely source is from television. There has been talk about Harry and Meghan doing a deal with Oprah Winfrey."

The redirect to a site that hosts the Kanye West video has been taken down, but it's unknown if Harry or Meghan (or perhaps Kanye) had anything to do with it. It's highly unlikely Harry and Meghan are too bothered about this, given the current state of affairs around the world.

When they announced their new foundation, Harry and Meghan said, "Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right."

Hopefully, the two will be able to begin work on their new initiative in a public way soon. They have not made any public moves on social media, and they will likely begin publicly discussing the foundation once there is more time to focus on it. Right now, it's believed that they are living in Los Angeles with their young son, Archie.
