In 2012, British singer James Arthur won the ninth season of The X Factor, and has since catapulted into stardom. He has many fans the world over, and during one particular question-and-answer session, for the "Karson & Kennedy" show in Boston, he found himself surprised by a certain fan in attendance.
They were holding a special performance at the local Mix Lounge when James opened the flooor for his fans to ask their questions. As the clip below shows, one man was eager to grab the mic and announce his question.
"We're big fans — I have your whole CD downloaded — and listen to your songs all the time!" the man proclaimed.
"Thank you," James said.
"I have a very important question tonight," the man, named Rodrigo, said.
"Yes sir?" James said.
"But it's not for you!"
When he made that announcement the crowd began to let out gasps and shouts of surprise. Rodrigo removed a sheet of paper from his back pocket.
The host shouted for Rodrigo to come up onstage and then invited Rodrigo's girlfriend, Kelsey, to join him.
Rodrigo then began to read what was written on the sheet, as Kelsey, curious at first, couldn't hold back her tears any longer.
Even James looked on in awe!
