Jamie Foxx is lauded as a modern-day renaissance man: In his 30 years in the biz, he’s established fruitful careers as an actor, singer, and comedian.
Long before he had any sort of reputation, Jamie was known by a different name: Eric Marlon Bishop. He was born in Terrell, Texas, on December 13, 1967, and was adopted by his mom’s adoptive parents shortly after his birth.
Jamie studied classical music and composition in college and performed his very first stand-up comedy set on a dare in 1989. He landed a gig as a cast member on the sketch comedy show In Living Color two years later, then launched his own TV show, The Jamie Foxx Show, in 1996.
Jamie went on to prove his chops as a dramatic actor with a lead role in 2004’s Ray, a Ray Charles biopic. His performance as the late blind singer earned him an Academy Award.
When he’s not in front of a camera or telling jokes, Jamie has been in the studio, recording several albums over the course of the past couple decades, including 2006’s Unpredictable, 2008’s Intuition, and 2010’s Best Night of My Life.
Perhaps Jamie’s greatest accomplishments, however, are his two daughters: Corinne and Annalise.
Jamie had Corinne with his ex-partner Connie Kline, a military veteran, in 1994. His second daughter, Annalise, age 8, was born to his ex-partner Kristin Grannis.
Corinne goes by Jamie’s stage last name, Foxx, whereas Annalise uses Jamie’s real last name, Bishop.
And at just 24 years old, Corinne already has some truly impressive accomplishments under her belt.
Corinne served as Miss Golden Globe in 2016, back when she was a student at USC.
Corinne also modeled throughout college. She’s taken her modeling career to new heights in recent years, taking part in campaigns for Dolce&Gabbana, Kenneth Cole, and wet n wild.
The beauty made her New York Fashion Week debut in 2016 when she walked for Kanye West’s line Yeezy.
Corinne has since walked for Sherri Hill and appeared within the pages of Nylon and W. Get it, girl!
Like her father, Corinne is multitalented: When she’s not modeling, she’s either DJing, running her blog, or preparing to launch her acting career.
Corinne appeared on an episode of MTV’s dark comedy Sweet/Vicious in 2016, and in 2019, she’ll make her film debut in All-Star Weekend — a movie that also happens to be her father’s directorial debut.
The film isn’t the first time that Corinne and Jamie collaborated as professionals.
Corinne is the DJ on Beat Shazam, a musical game show on Fox that her dad hosts. It began airing its second season in May 2018.

Corinne also runs a lifestyle site called Foxxtales, which highlights stories about travel, health, and entertainment.
In addition, the site includes a marketplace featuring female artisans.
