Ivanka Trump And Jared Kushner Reportedly Have Some Problems With Their Florida Neighbors

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are moving on with their lives after their time in Washington, DC. Finding the right place for their family's next step hasn't exactly been easy for the couple.

Originally, reports indicated the family of five would return to New York City, but that didn't quite pan out. It turns out Ivanka and Jared made their share of enemies among their former social circles, leaving them looking for a new place for their new chapter.

They've landed not far from Donald Trump himself in Florida. Rather than hole up at Mar-a-Lago, however, the couple are currently calling Surfside home, to mixed reviews from their neighbors.

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have struggled to find a neighborhood where they fit in. When they lived in Washington, DC, the couple annoyed members of their Kalorama neighborhood with a lot of cars and porta-potties for Secret Service members to use, since the couple didn't want them in their home. That's not to mention the occasional throng of protesters outside.

The couple quickly learned that they weren't going to find happiness returning to New York City after their time in DC was up, but they hoped to have better luck in Florida. There, they are moving to a waterfront mansion in Indian Creek on a luxury island known as "Billionaire's Bunker" with just 86 residents, 80% of whom reportedly voted for Ivanka's father in 2020, New York Magazine reports.

But they aren't in billion-dollar paradise just yet. They are currently renting a condo in nearby Surfside, a town of about 6,000 people who are more evenly politically split. They plan to stay there until renovations on their new home are complete.

Their luck in Surfside has not been so great. While they had a mixed reaction from neighbors initially, one in particular has had several uncomfortable encounters with Ivanka, Jared, and their kids. She detailed her experiences anonymously to The Washingtonian.

In one incident, Ivanka and daughter Arabella were walking the family dog together. This would have been fine if they weren't walking to a beach that explicitly doesn't allow dogs as a wildlife conservation effort. It is nesting season for local loggerhead sea turtles. When confronted by the neighbor, the three retreated.

In another incident, Jared approached the neighbor at a local beach to discuss a fish he'd caught. She was warning the couple of jellyfish when Ivanka stated she wasn't going into the water. Moments later, their 5-year-old son, Theodore, ran into the ocean.

"I'm thinking, 'Why is this boy in the water alone on a boogie board with this moderate rip current?'" the neighbor shared.

"I'm a mother, and I would never let my child alone in the water like that."

Shortly thereafter, the neighbor watched as the little boy began to drift from shore. Jared ran in after him, and thankfully all was resolved safely.

All eyes are on Ivanka in Florida. While Jared continues with family business, Ivanka looks for her next endeavor, though nothing is known publicly at this time. Recently, she celebrated her 40th birthday, and sources around her say she's happy where she's at in this moment of her life.
