The holidays can be difficult to navigate when parents make the decision to get a divorce. Splitting time can be tricky. Combining holiday parties might not be an option if parents cannot get along with their ex-spouses. Thankfully, this does not seem to be the case for Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet.
On Tuesday, December 19, 2022, Jason was spotted outside Lisa’s house delivering a Christmas tree for the holiday season. It is nice to see them working together to create magic for their children.
Lisa and Jason first met in 2005 at a jazz club in Los Angeles. In 2007, they had their daughter, Lola Iolani Momoa. One year later their son, Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa, was born. Lisa also has a daughter, Zoë Kravitz, with ex Lenny Kravitz. Jason, Lenny, and Lisa all worked hard to blend their families together.
Although many wrongly assumed they were already married, Lisa and Jason didn't make it official until 2017. The couple announced their separation in January of this year after 17 years together.
"We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage," their joint statement began.
The statement continued: “We share this not because we think it's newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become. Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life our children. Teaching our children what's possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail✨ J & L."
