Jennifer Gates and her husband, Nayel Nassar, are preparing to welcome their first baby together, and it turns out the two are doing so in style. The pair have been living in their $51 million penthouse in New York ahead of their baby's arrival, and now the New York Post is offering a glimpse into the home.
The house was purchased by a Seattle-based trust in January 2023.
The 8,900-square-foot home also has an additional 3,400 square feet of outdoor space that includes a private pool. The home was sold by Formula 1 race car driver Lewis Hamilton, who bought it but never moved in.
The home is located in Tribeca, an area that definitely boasts several celebrity residents. In fact, a few have lived in that specific apartment, including Jennifer Lawrence, Meg Ryan, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, and the Weeknd.
The penthouse boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two powder rooms, and 20-foot-high ceilings. It's also the largest in the building, and the New York Post adds that the home has "a glass-encased top level with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and nearly 3,500 square feet of terrace space — with that plunge pool and outdoor seating."
Jennifer announced her pregnancy in November 2022, a year after her October 2021 wedding. She and Nayel shared a joint post on Instagram on Thanksgiving, simply captioning it, "thankful. ."
Jennifer's mom, Melinda French Gates, was quick to celebrate the post. She commented, "I couldn't be more excited to meet this little one and watch you two become parents."
The two announced their engagement in January 2020, again using Instagram to share the news. Jennifer wrote, "Nayel Nassar, you are one of a kind. Absolutely swept me off my feet this past weekend, surprising me in the most meaningful location over one of our many shared passions."
She continued, "I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing and loving together. Yes a million times over. AHHH!!!"
Both Jennifer's parents were "thrilled" with the engagement news. Bill Gates commented on the post, "I am completely thrilled! Congratulations, @jenniferkgates and @nayelnassar!"
