With so many celebrities expecting, it can be hard to keep up. In case you missed it, Jessica Simpson announced in September that she was expecting her third child. The little girl will join Jessica and husband Eric Johnson's two older children: daughter Maxwell Drew, 6, and son Ace Knute, 5. It's an exciting time for the family. Jessica hinted at being interested in adding one more to her brood earlier last year. She told Entertainment Tonight, "We always practice, but it would definitely have to be a miracle."
Jessica is one of many celebrity moms who are opening up about pregnancy. After decades of women making pregnancy look like a cake walk, celeb moms are stepping up with some truth. Pregnancy is not all beautiful. Sometimes it's uncomfortable, or painful even. Jessica's recent Instagram picture speaks to that reality. The picture of her incredibly swollen foot was accompanied by a caption asking for relief suggestions. Fans and experienced parents are warning Jessica that the seemingly innocent swelling might be indicative of a bigger issue.
Jessica Simpson surprised many of her fans when she announced she was expecting her third child with husband Eric Johnson. Jessica and Eric already have two children, 6-year-old Maxwell Drew and 5-year-old Ace Knute.
Jessica's comments about adding to her family have changed over time. She debunked pregnancy rumors during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in May 2017, joking, "We got an IUD; nothing's gonna get in that uterus."
Just a year later, Jessica seemed more open to baby No. 3. She joked with Entertainment Tonight about having "baby fever" as her children started getting older.
Jessica and Eric have been together since 2010. Jessica and the former San Fransisco 49ers tight end had two tentative wedding dates postponed due to her first two pregnancies.
They finally got around to getting hitched in 2014. Since then, it's been smooth sailing for the family of four, soon to be five!
Jessica's baby announcement and gender reveal came last September. It's safe to say she's somewhere around the beginning of her third trimester.
Every pregnancy is different. Despite this being Jessica's third child, she can still encounter things she never struggled with during her first two pregnancies.

Jessica shared a photo to Instagram a few days ago of her very swollen ankle. She asked her fans for suggestions and remedies.
Some swelling is common in the third trimester of pregnancy, so it's not unreasonable that Jessica wasn't immediately alarmed. Fans had some suggestions for how she could handle the swelling herself.
A lot of people recommended that she keep her feet elevated. There were also some suggestions that compression socks can help improve circulation and reduce swelling.
Various foot baths were also suggested. Soaking with Epsom salt and various essential oils have helped alleviate swelling for some, although it's always good to do your research and make sure any remedy you're considering is right for you.
Fans did warn Jessica that the swelling could be a sign of something more serious and urged her to talk to her doctors. Many drew comparisons to Kim Kardashian, whose swelling during her first pregnancy was the first sign of the preeclampsia she was later diagnosed with.
Preeclampsia happens as a result of misfunction in the placenta. Swelling in the hands, legs, and feet can indicate the condition, which can lead to more serious issues for mom and baby if not treated properly. Symptoms don't usually appear until the third trimester.
Since Jessica was looking for fan input, she surely will take all these possibilities into account. We hope she takes it easy and takes care of herself as she pulls through the homestretch and meets her little girl.
