Jinger Duggar Vuolo Might Break Tradition And Refuse To Homeschool Her Daughter

Jinger Duggar Vuolo is breaking all the rules — and many fans are rejoicing. As one of the Duggar daughters famous for shows like 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On, Jinger grew up with a pretty strict set of rules.

Here are just a few: Supposedly, father Jim Bob has hopped onto the text messages of his kids before, proving that there's little privacy to be had. The kids also weren't able to hug others. Side hugs were appropriate, as they helped avoid sexual temptation. Daughter Jessa Duggar once said that she believed dancing and music led to "sex, drugs, all that type of stuff," so that's also on the no-no list.

While these rules may have worked for the Duggars, they're not right for everyone. While people have a right to avoid certain aspects of life — like dancing and sugar — the Duggars often take it to the extreme. Now that many of the Duggar kids are becoming parents themselves, it means that their parenting styles will be watched closely. Will they continue the rules that parents Jim Bob and Michelle bestowed on them? Or will they go their own way?

Jinger married Jeremy Vuolo in November 2016, and they currently have one child — a daughter named Felicity. Much like Jinger, Jeremy grew up with a religious upbringing. Their first kiss happened at their wedding. "The moment we were married, I wanted Jinger to be in with me on the battle for purity," Jeremy said on the podcast Behind the Scenes, hosted by Little People, Big World stars Jeremy and Audrey Roloff.

"I was actually in ministry for two years before I got married," he added. "And being in ministry as a sole pastor of a church without a wife is difficult. It's like every struggle, every temptation is just heightened tenfold because you don't have that partner, [so] you feel kind of half-complete."

The couple welcomed Felicity in 2018. Jinger opted for a hospital birth, which took some fans by surprise. "Some of my sisters have been through a bit of a tough time with labor and delivery, so I have decided just to go ahead and switch to the hospital. I think that just kind of just puts me at ease knowing, okay, if I need anything, it’s here," she explained. "And I think it’ll help me be more relaxed in the long run."

Jinger and her husband recently made a bold move by moving to Los Angeles, far away from their family members. Since the change happened, fans are also noticing that she's making bolder fashion decisions — and even dying her hair. Jeremy reportedly requested to move since he's working on his graduate degree at the Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California.

A new theory states that Jinger may do something else that's seen as being a little daring — she might enroll Felicity in public school when the time comes. The Duggars famously homeschool their kids and even enlist the older siblings to help out. Michelle herself wasn't homeschooled, but as a family, they decided that it'd be the right choice. Jim Bob reportedly got the idea from a Bible verse.

That means that the Duggars aren't familiar with public school, or what happens inside of one. So choosing that route seems a little risky. However, if Jinger decides to do it, she actually won't be the first. Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard chose to enroll their son, Israel, not long ago.

The Daily Mail reports that Jill had to do only four hours of coursework when she was homeschooled. It's interesting to wonder whether or not she felt as if that was a bit lenient. Jill boldly shared the news on Instagram, with a caption that said, "Look who’s registered for kindergarten!"

Israel is about to turn 5 and is reportedly "so excited" to attend class and make new friends. So that paves the way for Jinger to do the same, if she chooses. While Felicity is still too young to attend school, now Jinger can get advice on both options. Plus, this doesn't mean that Jill necessarily didn't like homeschooling, or won't choose to go down that road later.

"We have already been homeschooling him some, but decided it would be fun to let him go to kindergarten this year," Jill explained. "It’s extra special because it’s the same school district Derick enrolled in over 25 years ago." Speaking of, Derick may have also been pushing for public education.

One of the reasons why fans think Jinger may follow suit? She reportedly "liked" the image that Jill shared, announcing the news. If anything, that means that she's not completely turned off by public school. It's still a great choice and a wonderful way to get a well-rounded, unbiased education. And it would free both Jinger and her husband up. Homeschooling takes a lot of time if you're doing it yourself.

No matter what, it's just nice to know that Jinger is supportive. The sisters are all pretty close, especially since they grew up without any sort of outside activities or clubs. Many speculate that Jessa and Jinger are very tight-knit. Jessa and her husband were actually the ones who introduced Jinger to Jeremy.

It's unclear as to whether or not Jinger plans on having more children in the future. During the taping of the show Counting On, Jinger was livid after a producer speculated she was pregnant or in the midst of planning for more. The episode focused on her and her husband looking for a new home in Los Angeles.

"Given that L.A. is quite expensive, we decided to do the bare necessities," Jinger reportedly said in the episode. "A bedroom for us, a bedroom for Felicity, a private washer and dryer, two parking spaces — that’s pretty much what we’re set on. Anything else is a bonus." But then she made a mistake by using a plural. "Growing up I always had a lot of land around. I loved running on it so it is growing to be a challenge to raise kids in an apartment," she added. When a producer called her out on it, Jinger became very clear as to her intentions.

"Kid," she said. "I’m not making an announcement. I’m just assuming if we have more kids while we’re out there." So it's still up in the air. And it must be a question that Jinger and her siblings get all the time. Since they're in a large family with well over the average amount of siblings, fans might assume that the Duggars are also in a rush to have a large family. But Jinger seems to be taking things a little slower and really thinking about her decisions for both Felicity and their family.
