In life, there is a time and place for everything. John Cena proved just that when he got down on one knee inside the WrestleMania 33 ring as his fans waited at the edge of their seats.
John and his girlfriend of five years, Nikki Bella, were all set to go up against another WWE couple, the Miz and Maryse. After a good fight, John and Nikki ended up winning the match.
Although it seemed like their wrestling victory would be the biggest cause for celebration that night, John had other plans.
In the video below, posted on April 2, 2017, John and Nikki stand in the ring together. Suddenly, John drops on one knee to the floor and looks into his longtime girlfriend's eyes.
He has a little black box in one hand and a microphone in the other. In front of their fans and several cameras, he tells her, "I have been waiting so long to ask you this."
With a little shakiness in his voice, he continues, "Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, will you marry me?"
Instantly, the entire crowd erupts in excitement and cheers before Nikki has the chance to move or speak a single word. She nods with a huge smile on her face and leans down to kiss her new fiancé.
