John Legend's hilarious and ecstatic reaction to his daughter, Esti Maxine, saying "Dada" may have been a little too much for the 7-month-old baby. The Grammy Award-winning singer couldn't help but celebrate his young one's milestone with excitement, but his response seemingly overwhelmed his baby girl.
The 44-year-old dad posted a video to his Instagram profile on August 13, showing the entire interaction take place as he's filming from his phone and his daughter is sitting on the couch with his wife, Chrissy Teigen, who is holding their son Wren, and sitting next to a nanny.
"What’s my name? What’s my name?” John is heard asking his daughter. Esti sits up and smiles at him. Chrissy then jumps in and asks, "What’s daddy’s name? Dada?” To which little Esti replies, "Dada."
The singer shouts in excitement. “We got it on tape! Caught on tape baby, caught on tape,” he says as he turns the camera around to capture his reaction. Shortly after, Esti bursts into tears. “DADA! Then I got too excited and scared her ,” John captioned the video.

People in the comments laughed at the entire interaction.
"Notice how our generation still uses the expression 'got it on TAPE' like we’re still carrying around camcorders!!! ," someone wrote.
