The Hollywood actor revealed the exciting news exclusively to People magazine. The pregnancy comes just two months after the couple announced their engagement using their social media platforms.
On December 16, 2017, John used his Instagram to post a heartwarming photo of himself and his late father, Bill. The post was a tribute to his dad, as John prepares to be a father himself. In the post, he calls his dad his hero and hopes that he can be just like him, but says he'll "fall short."
Luckily for John, he's had decades to get the dad thing down right!
“I’ll be a fun dad. I’ve been practicing for a long time,” he told People. “I’ve done every schtick you can do with a baby on TV … all the bits and jokes and diaper gags. I’ll probably just do all that stuff.”

On December 16, 2017, John decided to pay tribute to his own father on his Instagram.
John posted this heartwarming photo of himself and his dad, Bill, who passed away in 1998.
In the photo, Bill is holding baby John with one hand. He captioned the pic: "I will certainly fall short of the father my pop was, but – I’m going to give it my all!"
Before announcing that he was going to be a dad, John Stamos opened up about wanting to start a family with Caitlin.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, John said:
"That’s always been my plan. It’s just taken me a lot longer than I anticipated. It would be a tragedy if I didn’t have children."
While it may have taken longer than the average person to be a dad, John's lucky to have had a ton of practice with kids.
All of his years playing Uncle Jesse will most certainly pay off when it's time to welcome his own bundle of joy into the world.
John and Caitlin met back in early 2016, have been inseparable ever since, and are no doubt going to be amazing parents.
"I know my parents are smiling down," John told Entertainment Tonight. "I know they would love her. She’s a gentle, kind, graceful soul who would be a good mother.”
The couple has been very public about their relationship, so fans can probably expect to see tons of photos of Caitlin's pregnancy!
