No matter what choices you make as a mother, somebody is bound to have an opinion on it. Just ask Caitlin McHugh, who gave birth to her first child with John Stamos earlier this year.
Caitlin recently posted a video on Instagram of herself dancing in a bikini. As a model, this certainly isn't Caitlin's first time being bikini-clad in a photo. But because she's a mom now, one Instagram user felt the photo was inappropriate.
The troll messaged Caitlin and called her "gross." But Caitlin wasn't having it. Not only did she respond to the troll, but she posted a screenshot of their conversation — showing off her perfect response.
The 32-year-old model married John Stamos in February. The couple announced that they were expecting their first child, Billy, last December. Caitlin gave birth to Billy — named after John's father — in April.
A few months later, Caitlin is back to work. She celebrated her return to modeling with a video, captioned "Back to WORK."
An Instagram user replied to the story with an unsolicited opinion.
"You're a Mother now," the user wrote. "Gross, tattoo and all."
Caitlin posted the conversation on her Instagram with the user's name blurred out.
"Not as gross as trolling ," Caitlin replied to the user.
Agreed!
Last month, Caitlin announced that she was returning to work with her agency, Wilhelmina Models. She posted another — GASP — bikini shoot with the announcement.
Something tells me she's not going to stop posing in bikinis until she damn well feels like it.
And by posting the screenshot on her Instagram story, Caitlin is making her opinion on the matter clear.
The new mom got a lot of support from fellow women for her post.
People loved Caitlin's response to the "gross" accusation.
And obviously, they think she looks great.
Caitlin is excited to get back to work, bikinis and all. She took some time off after giving birth to her little one in April.
Billy is Caitlin's first child with husband John Stamos.
She married the 54-year-old actor in February.
The couple dated for about a year before getting engaged.
And a couple of months before their wedding, they announced that they were expecting.
Caitlin debuted her baby bump in January — in a sports bra, because why not?
I think they call this "living your best life." Keep doing your thing, Caitlin!
