Emotional Video Shows Joy-Anna Duggar Weeping As She Holds Her Daughter For 1st Time

Joy-Anna and husband Austin Forsyth have welcomed a baby girl, and now Joy-Anna is opening up about that emotional experience. Evelyn Mae Forsyth was born on August 21 at 2:12 p.m. The precious girl weighed 8 lbs., 5 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.

Evelyn Mae is a rainbow baby for Joy-Anna and Austin. The couple suffered a terrible loss when Joy-Anna miscarried at 20 weeks pregnant last year. The opportunity to welcome another child, especially a little girl, is a meaningful blessing the couple cherishes.

Joy-Anna and Austin have been enjoying their first few weeks with a new baby in the house. They recently shared a YouTube vlog about the labor and delivery experience with Evelyn's birth. Joy-Anna is clearly emotional. She cries the first time she gets to hold that baby girl in her arms, and we can't say we wouldn't do the same.

Joy-Anna Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth had an emotional time of welcoming their second child. The couple experienced heartbreak just last year when Joy-Anna miscarried at 20 weeks pregnant. They marked the loss of that baby girl, Annabell Elise, on June 30.

"One year without her," Joy-Anna wrote.

"It's been a year since we found out that we lost Annabell. I remember leaving our ultrasound appointment, sobbing and wondering how we were ever going to move forward, and so fearful of having to deliver her.

"It hurts to look back at these pictures and remember the pain and heartbreak, but when I do look back I am so thankful for how far we've come… how God has given us more joy, peace, & healing than I ever thought we would have again.

"We love you, Annabell Elise! Thank you for all of your prayers and love for our family over this past year."

Annabel would have been the second child for the couple, who are also parents to 2-year-old Gideon.

Their hopes to grow their family were realized again earlier this year, when Joy-Anna shared that she was expecting. They made the announcement in March.

"Yes… it's true! @austin4site and I are PREGNANT again!

"Ahhh!!! It's been quite the crazy journey these last few months, but we are so thankful that mom and baby are healthy!"

The parents shared the roller-coaster ride of emotions they were experiencing in a video for TLC.

"I'm pretty nervous about raising a girl," Austin said.

"They are going to take a little more work than the boys. I feel like Gideon, he's tough and he'll eat anything, but I feel like a girl, we're going to have to pamper a little bit more. But I am so excited."

"My heart is just going to melt as soon as I meet her," Joy-Anna predicted.

"And I'm just so excited to dress her up in bows and fluffy dresses. It's going to be fun."

Her prediction stood to be true, as we saw in a recent vlog the couple shared.

The vlog shares the labor and delivery experience as the couple welcomed their healthy baby girl. Joy-Anna melted into tears as the baby girl was placed on her chest for her to hold.

"We have a baby," she said.

"I can't believe it. I did it."

"You did it, babe," Austin encourages her. He, too, has dissolved into tears in the emotional moment.

"She is beautiful."

Joy-Anna and Austin welcomed Evelyn Mae Forsyth to the family on August 21 at 2:12 p.m. The little girl weighed 8 lbs., 5 oz. and measured 19.5 inches long.

In the vlog, after mom and baby are more settled in, Austin continues to marvel at what Joy-Anna has done. "You pushed for over an hour," he tells her as the nurse explains the baby was in a posterior position during the delivery.

It sounded familiar to another birth story Joy-Anna had heard before.

"My mom's going to be happy that I did that today," she says.

"My mom had to push for two hours with me because I was posterior."

Joy-Anna also opened up about her delivery in an Instagram post announcing the video's release.

"Leading up to Evelyn's birth, this is the moment I was looking forward to the most, holding her in my arms for the first time.

"In the end, it didn't matter how she got here, as long as mom and baby we're healthy! ."

When she initially shared the news that Evelyn had been born, the mom was already prepared to share the things she loves about her baby girl.

"She has the best personality, is easy going and loves to be held!" she wrote.

"She has her nights and days mixed up, but honestly, I love it! Getting to spend that quiet, quality time with her through the night has been SO special!✨."

What's even better for the couple is that Gideon is adjusting wonderfully to being a family of four. He's enjoying being a big brother.

"Gideon: 'I uh old er.' He asks to hold Evy Mae about every 10 mins… I'd say we're all smitten!❤️," Austin shared on Instagram.
