It appears actor Jude Law is about to become a dad of six! His second wife, Phillipa Coan, recently stepped out to go shopping in London along with Jude, and she had a very visible baby bump! The Daily Mail confirmed the happy news for the couple.
The actor, who is 47, already has five other children — three with his first wife, Sadie Frost, and two from other relationships. He married Phillipa, 32, just last May. Now the pair are growing their family and are reportedly thrilled about their new addition.
While Jude is already a dad several times over, he's been outspoken about his desire for more children. The actor revealed this past January to The Telegraph that he'd love to grow his already very large family even more. "Of course! Absolutely," he said when asked. "I'm fortunate to be with someone where I'm having more fun than I've ever had in my life."
Jude and Phillipa were pictured out shopping together in north London. Phillipa was glowing. Though there hadn't been any previous reports that the couple was expecting, she already had a very visible baby bump. This will be the first baby for Phillipa!
A source revealed to the Daily Mail that the couple is just as happy as they appear to be. “He and Phillipa are blissfully happy together and delighted to add to their family,” the source said. “Everyone is really excited for the new arrival.”
Jude already has five children but didn't want to stop there. He previously opened up about wanting to be a dad again. Specifically, he spoke about wanting to grow his family with his new wife. "We have an incredibly stable and healthy, wonderful family existence," he shared. "And that involves my kids who are young adults … and then the younger ones are just so much joy and so much fun."
Jude obviously really loves children. He is already father a father to five kids whose ages span a pretty big range! His oldest, Rafferty, is 23, followed by Iris, 19, and Rudy, 17. He shares his oldest three kids with ex-wife Sadie Frost.
The actor also has a daughter, Sophia, 10, with model Samantha Burke. His youngest child is a daughter, Ada, who is just 5. Her mother is singer-songwriter Catherine Harding.
Jude's relationship with Phillipa began in 2015. The couple was first linked when they were seen together at the Hay Festival of Literature and Arts.
They announced their engagement just a few months before they got married last year. They tied the knot at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London.
Jude recently appeared on the "Save With Stories" project on Save the Children UK's Instagram page, where celebrities have been reading books to kids to help raise money for children in need in the present circumstances. The organization thanked Jude on its page for his efforts: "By donating to Save with Stories, you can support the most vulnerable families in the UK and around the world by helping to provide early learning packs, supermarket vouchers, essential household items and virus protection."
While Jude appears settled down with his new wife, he's certainly had his run of relationships in the past. He has almost as many baby mamas as kids! Jude has definitely heard his fair share of jokes about his dating life, of course. He has previously said that it used to bother him, but now it doesn't phase him much at all.
He also had a very public affair back in 2006. He was engaged to actress Sienna Miller at the time when he reportedly cheated on her with his kids’ nanny. Jude released a public apology, saying, “Following the reports in today’s papers, I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I’ve hurt Sienna and the people most close to us.”
Of course, the actor is older and wiser now. And he does seem incredibly happy with his new wife. He's been very outspoken about how much he cares for her. So it's lovely that they are starting a family together.
It seems like Jude's philosophy is "the more, the merrier" when it comes to kids. We'll be wishing them all the best as they embark on their journey to parenthood … and for the sixth time for Jude.
