Karlie Kloss is going to be a mom!
The 28-year-old model and her husband, investor Joshua Kushner, are expecting their first child. Karlie and Josh have been married for two years. The couple quietly began dating in 2012.
They're much more low-key than Josh's older brother, Jared Kushner, and his wife, Ivanka Trump. That's not the only way they differ. Karlie and Josh are openly Democrats. They don't shy away from saying they disagree with the policies of this administration, despite their familial ties to it. It has probably caused some tension, but Karlie and Josh prefer to focus on the values they share with each other.
Now they'll be building those values into their own expanding family. It's a very special time for the two as they navigate their way through first-time parenthood. There's no word on exactly when to expect their little one. The couple joins a recent batch of celebrities who are looking forward to new arrivals in 2021.
Karlie Kloss is getting excited about becoming a mom for the first time. The 28-year-old model is pregnant with her first child. She and husband Joshua Kushner couldn't be more thrilled about their news.
Josh is the younger brother of Jared Kushner, husband of Ivanka Trump and senior White House advisor.
Ivanka's been around just a few years longer than Karlie. Josh and Karlie quietly began dating in 2012.
After six years of dating, the two got engaged in the summer of 2018. They married that October in a small Jewish ceremony in upstate New York with just 80 guests in attendance. Karlie stunned in a custom Dior gown that reportedly took more than 600 hours to create.
"The wedding was intimate and moving. The couple was beaming with happiness," a friend revealed.
There was also a secondary celebration in Wyoming with an impressive guest list. In attendance were Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, among many others.
Karlie and Josh are both open about the fact that they don't share their extended family's politics. Earlier this week, Karlie shared a photo of herself with her absentee ballot and a Biden/Harris 2020 mask. She's done a lot to encourage voters to support fair map candidates.
Karlie spoke about how that difference in the family has been for her and Josh.
"It's been hard," she said.
"But I choose to focus on the values that I share with my husband, and those are the same liberal values that I was raised with, and that have guided me throughout my life."
Karlie has also pointed out that when she and Josh met in 2012, things were way different. A Trump presidency wasn't on anyone's radar, and she had no idea how close she'd be to it all.
"I met my man in 2012. I was 19 years old," she told Andy Cohen.
"It was 2012. It was a different world. And my man and I have been through a lot together," she continued.
"I'm so proud that he's my partner. It's not been easy, but it's worth it and I'd make that same decision a million times again."
There's still a lot we don't know about Karlie and Josh's upcoming bundle of joy. While we know she's due in 2021, there's no indication when. We also have yet to see any photos of Karlie sporting a baby bump, but we have a feeling they're coming soon!
