If there's one thing we can say definitively about Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, it's that she always looks completely flawless and put together.
With a highly scrutinized life that's always in the spotlight, there's no doubt that it must be challenging to always look perfectly poised and elegant.
Many celebrities suffer huge breakdowns because of the pressure, but Kate Middleton never seems to crack. Every single time she is photographed, she looks like she has it all together.
It's impossible to look effortlessly beautiful when you have two young ones, yet somehow Kate does just that. However, anyone with two little kids knows that behind closed doors it must be a different story.
She and her husband, William, Duke of Cambridge, are always out doing important community work, and the few times they've allowed their children to be in the public eye, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have seemed like perfectly well-behaved little angels.
Despite how perfect the royal family may look, they have challenges and struggles of their own as well; after all, they're only human.
Now, Kate is opening up about the difficulties she's faced stepping into motherhood.

Although Kate Middleton always seems like she has the perfect princess life, she recently opened up about her personal life at a child healthcare organization event called Best Beginnings.
During her speech, she spoke about the mental health challenges that accompany becoming a mother.

She said,
Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience.
However, at times it has also been a huge challenge. Even for me, who has support at home that most mothers do not.
Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer, overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother.
It's full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love, and worry, all mixed together.

Kate explained that even though she has help and support, with nannies and caretakers, it's still been a difficult transition.
She understands that for many women who don't have the resources she does, becoming a mother is even more challenging.
"It is right to talk about motherhood as a wonderful thing, but we also need to talk about its stresses and strains," she said.
"It's okay not to find it easy, and asking for help should not be seen as a sign of weakness."

She continued, "If any of us caught a fever during pregnancy, we would seek advice from a doctor. Getting help with our mental help is no different. Our children need us to look after ourselves and get the support we need."

She may be royal, but Kate Middleton is definitely just like the rest of us when it comes to the stresses of everyday life and motherhood.
