Khloé Kardashian Gets Real About Post-Baby Weight: ‘I’m The Queen Of Yo-Yoing’

Khloé Kardashian has carved a space for herself in the Kardashian matriarchy as the queen of fitness. Yes, the other sisters exercise, no doubt about that, but Khloé's fitness journey has been really inspiring. She hosts Revenge Body on E! where she helps other people embrace their bodies and feel their best, and she documents her daily workouts on social media to hold herself accountable and inspire others.

The new mom says she's 100% back in the gym now that her daughter True is 5 months old, and while she's lost an impressive 33 pounds already, Khloé said she's struggling to lose the entire 50 pounds to reach what she's designated as her "goal weight."

There should be zero pressure on moms of any size to "bounce back" or even look like they did before they were pregnant, but for Khloé, the gym is a huge part of her life, and shedding a specific amount of weight is important to her.

Khloé has been documenting her postpartum fitness journey on her blog, KhloeWithAK.com. In a recent blog post titled "This Is How Close I Am to My Fitness Goal," Khloé admitted that she's only 17 pounds away from her weight-loss goal of 50 pounds. "True's almost 5 months old now and I'm really close to my goal, but I'm plateauing. Now it's sooooo hard," she wrote.

"I was so shocked when I lost 33 pounds of baby weight in the first three months. I really thought it would be more of a challenge since I've struggled with my weight my entire life," the Good American boss added. "I'm the queen of yo-yoing."

Before the birth of her daughter, Khloé seriously transformed her body and uses that past experience to motivate her. "I get really discouraged, but at the same time I try to remind myself how long it took the first time to lose all of my weight," Khloé said of her current journey.

Despite her determination, the new mom said she's trying to stop putting pressure on herself and just focus on "eating healthy (when I can) and working out," but she admits that some days "are harder than others."

"For now, I'm just not putting pressure on myself and enjoying being a mommy. I know I'll hit my fitness goal — and it will feel sooooo good!" she concluded her post.

Despite her fit lifestyle, Khloé recently admitted in a separate blog post that she's deeply uncomfortable in a bathing suit. She wrote, "My entire life I have never been a bathing suit girl. I don't know if I'll ever feel good in a swimsuit — I've just never been that comfortable wearing one!"

Khloé enlisted the help of personal trainer Joel Bouraïma (aka Coach Joe) for her pre- and postpartum fitness routines.

Coach Joe told People that Khloé exercises "five or six times a week" but added that it's with "less intensity" than her pre-baby workouts. "We’ll do 30-45 minutes of cardio in the morning and then weights and body in the afternoon," Joe said.

Khloé's intense post-baby "snapback" might appear discouraging to the average woman, but just remember that she was working out like an athlete up until a month before she gave birth.

"We worked out until a month before the delivery," her trainer added. "Not only was she healthy, but she avoided lower back pain and joint pain that a lot of women deal with.”

Khloé's trainer also added that Khloé's flat-tummy vacation pics above are only because she trained like crazy while she was pregnant.

"Khloé is like an athlete," he added. "Imagine an athlete not working out nine months before the Olympics? Delivery is an effort for the body. If you don’t prepare, it’s going to be harder. The body has memory. It’s a lot easier for her to get abs and a flat stomach back than for someone who didn’t work out.”

Khloé is such a beast in the gym that her trainer said she'd do the same workouts as her partner Tristan Thompson, who is a professional NBA player.

For now, Khloé has a happy and healthy attitude toward her body and her fitness journey. "Since having True, my body is just different and not the same whatsoever. I'm not at my goal yet, but I'm also not insecure about it," Khloé wrote on her blog. "My body just is my body right now — and I feel really confident and beautiful!"
