Teaching your children about safety isn't always a fun conversation.
Why would kids care about what is safe if they are having fun? It's difficult to get them to care about anything other than enjoying themselves!
The Kid Village is designed to teach children about safety hazards in a fun and entertaining way that will allow them to retain the information and have a good time while doing so!
In Ashville, NY, the children in Kid Village, better known as "The Children's Safety Education Village," learn about road safety and how to conduct yourself while in a car. They are taught simple things like turning when you're allowed to and wearing your seatbelt at all times.
The children are also instructed on what to do if there is a fire in the kitchen, and how they are supposed to escape the house as safely as possible if there is one.
The Children's Safety Education Village is a nonprofit organization that works to prevent unnecessary injuries and fatalities in children in the community. It is not the only of its kind, either. There are dozens of these all over the country! Do you wish you lived near one of these kid villages?
