Little Kids Share Their Big Dreams For The Future

What did you want to grow up to be when you were little? Did you imagine yourself as a selfless firefighter, courageously racing into a burning building? Or were you more excited by the passing ice cream truck and fancied yourself a chef in the making?

For the record, I wanted to be a dalmatian. That didn’t exactly pan out the way I wanted, but hey, it’s important and valid to encourage children to imagine their future, no matter how zany their initial ideas turn out to be!

Some kids take this to the next level and start their careers before they’re even old enough to start driver’s ed. Imagine how long your resume would be if you began sewing teddy bears for sick children at the tender age of 12. What about if you recreated famous paintings at the age of 8?

That’s why this video, aptly titled “Follow Your Dreams,” is such a special find. It captures the moment in all of our lives when everything is possible, a moment when no idea is too grandiose. When we’re very young, we think all our ideas were first thought of by us and us alone, and there’s something so heartwarming to me about that.

Many kids were interviewed for this particular video. The answers range from doctor to mother to teacher to police officer, and every explanation is as special as the last.

If you were touched by this like I was, please SHARE with your friends and family!
