Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been in the news a lot these days, and most of the headlines haven't been positive. While battling an episode with bipolar disorder, Kanye tried to run for president. And later, he announced on Twitter that he wanted to divorce Kim.
That type of news is very tough. It's often hard for the Kardashian family to keep secrets, especially since all of them are on social media. And of course, their lives have been turned into a successful reality television show for the last decade. But since Kim and Kanye have a family together, the news of Kanye's feelings caught everyone off-guard.
Luckily, Kanye's two girls are trying to make things better. North West and Chicago West wanted to try taking a photo together, and they enlisted their mom to help them out. Kim posted the results online, proving that even now, she has a sense of humor.
It seems like she was just born yesterday, but North West is 7 years old. Her sister, Chicago, often called Chi, is only 2. The two of them are also in the house with brothers Saint and Psalm. Despite the age difference, the sisters appear to be forming a strong bond. And this particular moment will hopefully lead to laughter down the road.
At the very least, the moment of bonding must have been sweet for Kim, who is back in Los Angeles after a family trip to Colorado. Kanye returned to Wyoming, where he has been staying for quite a while. The two have been separated throughout most of the year. "My girls wanted to do a photo shoot together sitting up on this rail," Kim captioned the photo. "Swipe to the right to see how it ended."
As you can see, the rail doesn't support the girls for long. But still, they managed to get some cute photos out of it. Since the circumstances surrounding Kanye have been stressful for Kim, it's good that she still has moments like this in her life. And it's nice that she's willing to share with her fans.
TMZ reported that in July, Kim went to Wyoming to have a serious talk with Kanye about getting medical help. The site stated that Kanye had been unwilling to listen to Kim, who has been trying everything she can to get him to take his health seriously. A situation like this is emotionally stressful for any couple.
Kanye was reportedly in the midst of a very scary health episode. "There's been a lot more to talk about, as Kanye's gone on 2 separate Twitter rants this week blasting Kris Jenner, comparing his life to 'Get Out,' claiming his family's trying to have him involuntarily committed … and suggested Kim tried to cheat on him with Meek Mill, so he wants to divorce her," wrote TMZ.
Kanye was referring to a meeting that took place in 2018 between his wife, Meek Mill, and philanthropist Clara Wu Tsai. In the photos that circulated, it seemed as if Kim was having a standard lunch meeting. Nothing about the image makes it look like their relationship was anything more than professional.
Kanye later apologized to Kim for stating he wanted to divorce her. "I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter," he tweeted. "I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me."
Luckily, Kim has a lot of family nearby if she ever needs help with the four children. However, she's been doing an excellent job since she became a mom. Kim has gone public about her first two pregnancies, which posed a serious health risk. That's why she brought her second two children into the world via surrogate.
She has also discussed how getting robbed in 2016 during Paris Fashion Week actually changed her parenting style altogether. While a scary event, she said she took some life lessons from it. "It was probably no secret, you see it on the show and it's being flashy, I was definitely materialistic before," Kim admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"Not that there's anything bad with having things and working hard to get those things and I'm really proud of everyone around me that's successful, but I'm so happy that my kids get this me and that this is who I am raising my kids because I just don't care about those things anymore," she continued. "I really don't." In a way, she knew she had to grow up.
Even though she's comfortable with money, she also expects her children to work when they get older. "I was saying that earlier to my friends, 'I wonder what [North's] first job is gonna be'. And they were like, 'What? She's gonna have a job?' and I was like, 'Are you kidding me? Of course she is,'" the star told The Evening Standard, per Redbook. "She will have to work for what she wants."
The photo shoot with North and Chi is even sweeter, as Kim and Kanye aren't too keen on sharing every moment. In fact, Kanye hoped that the children and their childhoods wouldn't be featured too much on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. But that just makes fans appreciate these moments even more.
According to Hello magazine, the two parents often keep each other in check when it comes to what's posted on social media. "I have a good balance, if our kids are ever on the show, Kanye has to view it and approve it," said Kim. "Sometimes I will send him a picture of the kids and he will post it, and I won't necessarily want it to be posted. Or he will say to me that we should chill out on posting the kids. So we have our moments and it changes all the time."
Co-parenting must be especially tough when the two of them are living in different states. However, Kim has been making it work. Even for those who don't happen to watch her show, it should be pretty obvious that the Kardashians are very family-oriented. They put a lot of work into their empire, and they often face a lot of criticism regardless.
Hopefully, Kanye can look at that photo series of his two girls and understand that others depend on him to be well, and he tries to be the best version of himself that he can be. It seems like Kim is putting so much effort into making things as stable as possible, but it's tough to do that alone. Even if their marriage doesn't continue forward with all these hurdles, he still has four kids who look up to him and love him so much.
