All Parents Need To Try Kristen Bell’s ‘Hands On The Circle’ Car Safety Hack

Kristen Bell, who is famous for her roles in Frozen, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Veronica Mars, and most recently, NBC's The Good Place, is also a mom of two wonderful kids.

After marrying fellow actor Dax Shepard (of Parenthood fame), Kristen gave birth to two daughters, Lincoln, 4, and Delta, 2.

Kristen and Dax have a wonderful relationship, always keeping fans on their toes with their humor and love.

The couple recently made news when they got into a lighthearted online spat over something ridiculously relatable: the placement of Dax's La-Z-Boy chair.

Now, Kristen is speaking out on another subject that resonates with all moms: car safety.

Every parent worries about car safety when they have children, and Kristen knows exactly how that feels.

To that end, she recently shared a safety trick with her social media followers, explaining that it keeps her kids safe when they get out of the car.

Will you give Kristen Bell's idea a shot?

Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard are one of the most relatable couples in Hollywood — not only as people, but also as parents.

The couple has two young daughters, Lincoln and Delta, ages 4 and 2.

Like other parents, Kristen and Dax worry about their daughters' safety, especially when it comes to the car.

In addition to keeping them safe inside the car with carseats and booster seats, they've found a clever way to keep their kids safe outside the car.

Kristen shared the above photo on her Instagram account, writing:

“Hands on the circle!” The phrase we say as we jump out of the car.”

“Hands on the circle” (the circle is the gas cap) was invented by my brilliant sister in law, and has thus far kept all kiddos safe from any oncoming traffic while I unload the trunk.”

And it makes perfect sense — when parents are unpacking the trunk, they have to keep an eye on their kids to make sure they're staying away from traffic.

With this clever trick, all you have to do is tell your kids to keep their hands on the circle until you close the trunk.

Other parents who saw Kristen's post loved the idea. Some people already did something similar, but others were excited to try the "hands on the circle" trick.

One mom wrote:

I’ve done this with my daughter ever since I had my little boy, she was only 2 but listened and it’s the first thing she does when getting in or out of the car now! Safety first!

A grandma loved the idea too, writing, "This is so smart!!! I pick up my granddaughters, I'm going to start using this."

Some companies, like Parking Pal Magnet, even sell stickers and magnets to put on your car to make it more fun for the kids!

How brilliant is this trick? Did you do anything like this with your kids or grandkids?
