Kristen Bell is one of the most famously candid, open, and honest moms in Hollywood.
The Veronica Mars actress is married to actor Dax Shepard, with whom she shares two daughters. Though Kristen and Dax keep a notably low profile when it comes to their daughters — the faces of Lincoln, 5, and Delta, 3, are never shown in their parents' social media — the couple has no qualms about telling stories, frequently speaking out about their marriage and parenting.
From giving advice about how to keep a marriage healthy to dishing about the shocking way Dax helped her out when she suffered from mastitis while breastfeeding, it seems there's no story too crazy for Kristen to share with the public.
Recently, the 38-year-old mom of two appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. During the interview, she shared a story about her 3-year-old daughter's alarming (and slightly disturbing) new habit: threatening to kill her.
Kristen is a mom to 3-year-old and 5-year-old daughters.
Like any mom of a toddler, Kristen has gotten used to dealing with big emotional outbursts.
According to Kristen, her younger daughter Delta is right smack in the middle of a tantrum phase.
The Good Place actress opened up about her parenting woes to Stephen Colbert while appearing on his talk show in late September.
"Our 3-year-old is nuts, man. She's nuts!" Kristen said of Delta.
"Sometimes, she tells me she's going to kill me. Truly! Sometimes it's with a gun," she explained.
"I know it sounds scary. We're talking to people, don't worry," she assured the audience.
According to Kristen, Delta's outbursts usually come about when she's not getting her own way about something or when she doesn't like what mom is telling her to do.
"If I tell her like, 'Okay that’s a wrap on the candy bar' or whatever, she’ll go, 'Well, I’m gonna get a gun and kill you and I only like Daddy' and she’ll just leave the room," Kristen revealed.
Delta sounds like quite the little drama queen!
Despite Delta's oddly specific death threats, Kristen isn't all that worried.
"I know it sounds really bad that my child threatens to kill me, but like, she doesn’t have a gun so I feel like it’s not a real threat," she explained.
The actress also mentioned that her daughters are also in the asking-tons-of-questions stage.
"Sometimes it comes so fast, though," Kristen said. "Like the other day, in rapid succession, I got, 'Is Santa Claus real?' 'Who made dogs?' and 'Why is Earth?'"
Kristen and Dax's daughters sound like a couple of real characters! Maybe they inherited their actor parents' flair for the dramatic.
