As Landon Wall says at the beginning of this video, most people aren't expecting much from a 12-year-old with a guitar other than "Mary Had a Little Lamb."
Did you ever try to learn an instrument when you were young? When I was about 9 years old, I started learning how to play the viola. I'm surprised my parents let me practice in the living room, and didn't send me into my room in the far corner of the house. Endless renditions of "Hot Cross Buns" and terribly out-of-tune scales filled that house for a few long years. If you learned to play an instrument under your parents' roof, you should definitely take the time to thank them not only for their support, but for their patience!
For some parents, though, the grueling practice times don't last quite as long. Some kids are just naturally gifted with their instruments! Sure, the beginning stages are just as obnoxious, but once these young stars catch a hold of their instrument of choice? It's nothing but a joy when they sit down to practice.
When Landon Wall, at only 12 years old, picks up his guitar? He's got more soul in him than many grown musicians! Landon's sense of humor and clear technical talent make him seem much older than he is, but his miniature guitar reminds you that his gift far surpasses his age.
