At school, we're used to teachers going the extra mile and giving their all so their students can achieve any goal they set for themselves in life. That's exactly the sort of passion that makes them so essential to our youngsters as they grow and develop in the world. It's also what makes it so heartwarming to see kids turn the tables to return the favor for their instructor.
It could be something as simple as celebrating their birthday with a yummy cake, or maybe giving them the fluffy, adorable gift of brand new kitten friends. When a group of sweet girls from Raleigh, NC, noticed their teacher, Jennifer Marion, missing class far more often than usual, they knew something was up. The second-graders soon learned the unfortunate reason behind her absences: Marion's new rescue pup, Pearl, was having serious medical issues.
Marion knew she was taking on a special case when she adopted the precious dog from the shelter, but didn't realize just how bad off the poor thing was until she got her home. After visits to the vet confirmed some upsetting pancreatic issues, Marion was determined to do whatever she could to give Pearl the best treatment possible.
Of course, that would also mean dealing with the hefty price of those vet bills. That's when the five young girls in the video below decided to step up and help in the only way they knew how: opening a lemonade stand.
Take a look to hear from Marion and hear just how much their sweet act of kindness raised for Pearl.
