Have you ever noticed how children are often more confident, caring, and even more understanding than most adults are?
It's not because they're young and naive, it's because we often become more insecure and unsure as we grow older. We spend so much time trying to regain that freedom from when we were young…and it's really no surprise why. We can learn so much from young children, and the following video is amazing proof.
When his mom had to lie down because of a debilitating headache, Joshua did what most 5-year-olds wouldn't even think of. As a young kid, I probably would have been scared to see a parent with a migraine, but this little boy was brave and knew exactly what mom needed: a prayer.
While his baby sister sat there and watched, little Joshua put his hand on his mommy's forehead and started to pray. "Dear Lord, I pray for Mommy's head that you will heal her," he says in the video. "Help her to be more safe, Lord. I pray that you will destroy any kind of 'hurtness' in her head and take all that pain in there. In Jesus' name, Amen."
If that sweet prayer doesn't touch your heart, I don't know what will.
