Gavin Pepper knows that his girlfriend loves magic. So when he decided to finally pop the question, what better way to do it than with a little slight-of-hand magic trick.
Since he’s not a magician himself, he asked professional illusionist Luca Gallone for help.
The two spent months planning out their little trick, and thankfully it went off perfectly.
Pepper convinced his girlfriend, Stephanie Cunningham, to go shopping with him. Of course, she didn’t suspect anything. Then, as they walked around London's Westfield Shopping Centre, they "ran into" Gallone, who asked them if they would like to see some magic.
He started off by asking Pepper to write his name and his girlfriend's name on a playing card. Afterward, he asked Stephanie to fold it up and place it close to her heart.
The two then linked hands and Gallone exclaimed, “That’s the connection right there!”
Finally, the magician asked Cunningham to unfold the card and read what it said.
The woman was left speechless: “Will you marry me?” was written on the card.
And just at that moment, Pepper dropped to one knee and popped the question. Following Cunningham's head nod and a “yes,” Pepper happily placed the beautiful ring on his now-fiancée's finger.
The two kissed, and then cheers erupted from the small crowd that had gathered to watch this adorable proposal. Looks like Gavin planned the perfect surprise!
