This season of Britain’s Got Talent (home of television’s known curmudgeon Simon Cowell) has gifted us with some truly remarkable youngsters.
We probably needn’t remind any avid watchers about 15-year-old Isaac Waddington's heart-wrenching cover of Billy’s Joel’s “She’s Always A Woman.” His powerful performance absolutely wowed the audience and judges, and it’s clear Waddington’s journey as an artist has just begun. And about a week ago, we posted yet another incredible song by 12-year-old Henry Gallagher, who dedicated his act to his grade school crush, managing to melt the hearts of both his viewers and all of us here at LittleThings.
In the view below, we’re introduced to yet another incredible songstress who performed a powerful rendition of Whitney Houston’s iconic “I Have Nothing.” Twelve-year-old Maia Gough shared with the judges prior to her act that Houston has always been one of her idols, so singing the single was a special moment for her. And when she begins to perform? It’s easy to see how her passion translated to her stage presence. She absolutely floors the judges, and co-host Amanda Holden remarks, “It was mind-blowingly fantastic.” She was given a standing ovation, bringing even Simon to his feet to applaud her skill.
If you were floored by her performance, SHARE Maia’s song! Let’s spread the word about her incredible talent.
