If you think boy moms are the only ones who get down and dirty, you're sorely mistaken. Girl dads have to do plenty of rolling up their sleeves. Mark Wahlberg proved just that in a recent Instagram post showing how he found himself getting a full makeover from his 10-year-old daughter.
Grace Margaret got her dad seated and ready for nails and makeup in the footage shared to Mark's Instagram stories. Her salon setup was adorable. Mark joked with Grace throughout. He even gave her a hard time about her technical skills. Still, you could tell this was a very sweet father-daughter bonding experience.
In his Instagram post, Mark joked that this is what happens 15 days into quarantine. Like so many, Mark and his family are practicing social distancing. It's great to see what situations families find themselves in during this period. We're so lucky to have each other, and these glimpses into celebrity family life are reminders of that.
Mark Wahlberg is keeping his fans updated on how his family is handling stay-at-home orders. Mark is father to four kids: 16-year-old Ella, 13-year-old Michael, 11-year-old Brendan, and 10-year-old Grace. Grace has been making a lot of appearances on her dad's Instagram, and the most recent was simply adorable.
Mark was the latest customer at Grace's at-home hair salon. "So 15 days into quarantine now, I’m getting pedicures, manicures and apparently full makeup," he said in a video shared on Instagram.
"She’s got her whole kit there. This is what’s happening now."
Mark shared more scenes from the salon day on his Instagram stories. Grace did her dad's nails with peach and lavender polish. Mark wasn't so sure about her technique, though.
"I don’t know if you’re gonna have a career in this," he joked.
"I’m only good at makeup, so your makeup’s gonna be on fleek," Grace commented.
"On fleek? What’s fleek? ‘On fleek,’ whatever that means," Mark replied.
The 10-year-old was excited to apply some contour on her dad once his nails were through.
"What the heck are you doing?" Mark joked as Grace poked and prodded at him with brushes. "I thought you said you were good at makeup!"
Mark's comments were full of girl dads sharing in his struggle and moms applauding him for his wonderful parenting.
That isn't the only thing Grace has had her dad and mom, Rhea Durham, get up to during self-isolation. She also got the two on board to learn a TikTok dance. Mark may have gotten a little too into it, trying to edge his way to the front.
"Quarantine TikTok. Hope you’re all staying safe out there. ❤️," he wrote. "Let’s all try and stay positive and healthy. We’ll all get through it."
A few days later, Mark shared a video of Grace pushing their dog, Champ on the swings. The little Pomeranian looks adorable as he enjoys the ride.
"Everything has gone crazy," Mark sings in the background.
In another video, the father and daughter are standing outside of the bathroom, playfully arguing. To make it even more fun, they're doing it in English accents. "It’s getting out of hand!! Role play is an understatement ❤️ ."
Mark's also been encouraging everyone to keep working out while at home. His body-weight exercises with F45 have been all over his feed. He even hosted a livestreamed Gravity workout last Thursday.
Mark's also taken the time to thank the first responders for their hard work. He posted a video expressing his gratitude for those on the front lines. He's also sent out messages of support for several organizations that he's working with, both personally and as a partnership with Wahlburgers.
Mark, Rhea, and the kids will continue to self-isolate at home, as so many Americans are. It's great to see that they're taking the time to do good for both their family and their community. It's a great example for all of us as to what we should prioritize during our time inside.
