Meghan Trainor Shares Why She Won’t Have Sex With Her Husband While Pregnant

Meghan Trainor is having all kinds of experiences during her first pregnancy.

Last month, the 26-year-old singer announced that she and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, were expecting their first child. It's a super-exciting time for Meghan, who has dreamed of having "the most babies" for a long time.

Meghan's in her third trimester now. She's experiencing all the excitement and nerves that many first-time moms face.

There's one thing Meghan has learned about herself during her pregnancy, however. In a recent chat with Hoda Kotb on Today, Meghan revealed that she isn't into pregnancy sex. She admitted to the mental block, despite what her pregnancy apps are telling her. It's not the first time she's spoken about their sex life, either. Meghan has praised their bedroom chemistry before.

While the physical may be on pause, the emotional is better than ever. Their love feels so strong, and they can't wait to add their little boy to the mix.

Meghan Trainor is getting real about her pregnancy experience. The 26-year-old singer announced in early October that she and husband Daryl Sabara are expecting their first child together. She went public with the news by calling into Today With Hoda and Jenna.

"We were thinking about who do I tell first, and I was like, I told Hoda since I was 19 going to the Today show (that) I will have the most babies in the world," she shared.

"It finally happened and we're so excited."

It was just a year earlier when Meghan was on the morning show gushing about wanting a big family.

She even admitted that she dreamed of having triplets.

"I want to get it all done at one time and be like, pop them in there," she said.

"You know what I'm saying? Let's knock it out. Let's do it at once. You and me. I want twins or triplets."

Meghan told Hoda and Jenna that she's enjoyed a pretty easy pregnancy so far.

"I do feel like I'm learning new things every single day," she said.

"I realized how amazing women are. We're all like, women are superheroes. This is crazy."

Meghan checked in with Today again this week with some pregnancy updates. One of the things she's learned about herself? She's not interested in pregnancy sex. In fact, she shares that she's got a mental block about it she can't get past.

"Maybe this is weird, but mentally I can't have sex while our son is in between us," she admitted.

"All my pregnancy apps say it feels really good. But all I can think about is that there's a little boy in my belly."

While Meghan says they aren't getting hot and heavy, the rest of their relationship is as strong as ever.

"Our relationship really messes with my girlfriends' minds. They're all like, 'How the hell am I going to find a Daryl?'" she gushed.

"He's so good. He's unbelievable."

Meghan praised her hubby for keeping up with her changing cravings.

"If I said, 'I want Fritos,' he'd be like, 'Yes, ma'am! Right away!'"

She's being careful to make healthier choices now after discovering her mom had gestational diabetes.

Now in her third trimester, she's starting to think of the realities of delivering her baby boy:

"With the baby … the pushing? I don't know. I hope I have a healthy, safe labor. But you know how, like, anything can happen last-minute. Those are the things that scare me. But so far, the baby's totally healthy and the doctor's like, 'I'm planning for you to push this one out!'"

"I'm freakishly not really scared of birth yet. Which like, it's more scary," she continued.

"I'm like, what, what's wrong with me?! But I think it's because I watched my aunt give birth twice. And I, like, fully know what's gonna go down."

Meghan and Daryl are huge fans of the Christmas season. They planned the pregnancy, but didn't realize how pregnant she'd be during the holidays — and while promoting her Christmas album, A Very Trainor Christmas.

"This is, like, it's too good to be true, like too destiny for me," Meghan said.

"We did plan the pregnancy, but I didn't know. I didn't realize how pregnant I'd be while promoting my, like, favorite album ever, like my Christmas album," she continued.

"So it's like, so sweet. And to have a song like 'My Kind of Present,' I turned that into like, Oh, my baby's like the best present I'll ever get! When I perform it, I tap on my tummy and I'm like, 'This is my kind of present' and it's really sweet."
