Parents use all sorts of strange motivators to get their children to do the things they might not always want to do, like homework, cleaning, and even going to bed. Sometimes an unorthodox approach works best for certain children.
I remember that my daughter (who is now six years old) started to first learn her letters and numbers by watching random videos on YouTube (all parent-approved, of course) before she even started going to pre-school.
That same unorthodox approach seems to be the one that works for YouTuber cb6652. In this video, which he uploaded yesterday, he shows off the only way his daughter seems to remember her alphabet, and it's quite different than what you might be expecting (you may want to turn your speakers down a little for this one).
As the video begins, we hear a loud, banging metal soundtrack playing just before his two-year-old daughter starts singing along to the music. Only she's not singing any old lyrics; she's singing her ABCs! She has that angry rock 'n' roll face on and is growling out the lyrics to her favorite alphabet song. It's completely adorable.
But then, all of a sudden, the music stops. And so does the toddler. It's almost as if, without the presence of metal music, she doesn't know what comes next in the alphabet.
As soon as Dad starts the music again, she's able to continue (and eventually finish) her ABCs. I pretty much love everything about this video, this dad, and this cute kiddo.
