When a family goes through a divorce, emotions are understandably high for everyone involved. It’s heartbreaking to know that children will experience all of the hardship alongside their parents, but the best moms and dads are those able to stay friendly despite their romantic relationship coming to an end. Showing your kids that you will still be there for them no matter what — that’s all they need.
Mike Worthington definitely has a strong bond with his young daughter regardless of his separation with Asia’s mom. Documenting their adventures on his Instagram profile, the 29-year-old dad explains that they have been apart since Asia was 2, but that it hasn’t stopped him from remaining a constant part of the precious girl’s life. He’s even picked up some impressive hairstyling techniques!
Photos and videos of the pair enjoying their time together has warmed the hearts of over 600,000 followers since the Dallas native began posting on the social media app.
Asia is now 4, but the proud papa shows off some throwbacks now and then, too.
They both clearly share a killer sense of style!
Worthington hopes to inspire other young dads to be more involved with their kids.
In one caption, he writes, “Spending quality time with yours is ‘REAL’ child support. I pay child support and I still spend quality time.”
