Celebrity Mila Kunis Plans On Telling Her Kids That They’re Poor, And Here’s Why

While most parents worry about their children receiving a nutritional diet and making it on the school’s Honor Roll, one Hollywood power couple has a bit more on their minds when it comes to raising kids.

It’s no secret that Mila Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher are quite comfortable financially, but they’re not about to say the same of their daughter, Wyatt, or any future kids for that matter.

“It’s a matter of teaching them from a very early age that, you know, ‘Mommy and Daddy may have a dollar, but you’re poor,'” Kunis said. “‘You are very poor, you have nothing. Mommy and Daddy have a bank account.'”

Wait, what?

This actually makes sense, given the fact that both Kunis and her husband were raised similarly. “We both came from pretty solid poverty backgrounds and grew up very poor […] and are very aware of what a dollar is worth,” Kunis recently told The Kyle and Jackie O Show. “Nothing’s been handed to us.”

This is precisely what she hopes to instill in her children, both future and present.

Parenting isn’t easy by any means. Often, moms and dads are faced with unique challenges that arise with the times — terrifying social media discoveries come to mind, something we certainly didn’t have to deal with years ago. There are certainly plenty of resources to help with that, but suffice to say, moms and dads have a lot to contend with in any era.

“The one topic of conversation we had even prior to ever having kids was always: ‘How do you raise a child to not be an a**hole?'”

It’s truly a testament to Kunis’ strong morals and dedication to her family that she bravely spoke out regarding this subject. Perhaps other celebrities will follow suit!
