Woman Gets A Tattoo Dedicated To Her Miscarriage As Part Of Her Healing Process

Nothing can prepare you for the loss of someone you love. What might be even harder to cope with is losing someone you haven't even met yet.

More than 500,000 pregnancies end in miscarriage every year. This high number of miscarriages does not mean that any mother is prepared to hear the news that they have lost their baby. It is devastating news that could break someone's spirit.

Joan Bremer was seven weeks along when she and her husband Scott learned that she had miscarried. The couple was heartbroken by the news. They'd been so excited to welcome a new baby to their family; to learn instead that they would be in mourning, it devastated them.

Despite her sadness, Joan decided to get a tattoo to honor her baby's memory. She got a beautifully intricate design with two hearts beating in the silhouette of a pregnant woman. Joan shared her tattoo and its meaning, and since then it has gone viral.

Many other women were inspired by Joan and have shared their miscarriage stories and the tattoos they have gotten to commemorate their babies. You can see more of Joan's story in the video below! Another mother, Jennifer Chen, has also shared her miscarriage story, and both women have become powerful symbols of strength in tough times.

Don't forget to SHARE this mother's inspiring message about loss with all of your friends and family!
