12 Years After Giving Birth To Stillborn Baby, Mom Hands Memorial Boxes To Grieving Families

It's tough for any couple to deal with the emotional trials that go along with infertility.

Even if you're trying for your second child, it can feel like something is missing when that second child remains just out of reach.

Lisa Louden and her husband Glenn were overjoyed when they found out they were finally expecting their second little one after a year and a half of fertility struggles.

They couldn't wait to give their young son Andrew a little brother or sister to play with.

But, unfortunately, the Loudens' little girl Alexis was stillborn and they were left to grieve a child that they never got the chance to bring home.

As a way of keeping their daughter's memory alive and helping other parents dealing with the same heartbreak, Lisa founded the Missing Alexis Foundation. One of their projects is the Aching for Angels Memorial Box.

These boxes provide families in similar situations with some items that they might need, such as an outfit, a disposable camera, and a blanket.

These boxes are available at the hospital so parents have one fewer thing to think about on the toughest day of their lives.

And it's all in memory of the Loudens' beloved daughter, Alexis.
