Every family is different, and there's no real definition of what one needs to be to be considered family. Homes become broken, but are then sometimes made whole again by an unexpected member.
Misty Nicole Knight was raised by an amazing man. No, he is not her biological father, but he has gone above and beyond his dad duties. Ryan Farrell is her stepdad, but he's the one whom she looks up to, loves unconditionally, and respects just like a father.
When she hands him this shiny red box with a long letter taped to the front of it, Farrell is already worried that her written words are going to make him cry. As Misty watches from behind, she can barely contain herself as he slowly makes his way through the silly gifts she's put inside the box, including a superhero-themed adult onesie.
He tries to open up a box of Peeps from the box, but Misty just can't bear it anymore. She makes him save the treat for later so that he could get to the real gift at the bottom of the box.
Once he finally gets there? Neither of them could hold back their tears of pure joy. No one else in the family knew what was at the bottom of that mystery box except the two of them, and the moment that they share as a father and daughter is just too precious to handle.
