Dispatcher Hears Little Girl’s Voice On Phone, Realizes She’s Alone With Her Unresponsive Mom

In a moment's notice, things can go awry. Knowing how to handle a serious situation is vital. It's also something that Suzie McCash knew just how to do.

The 4-year-old from England was with her mother, Rowena, right before devastation occurred.

Rowena began to experience a severe allergic reaction, making it difficult for her to breathe, let alone speak.

It didn't take long for little Suzie to take notice. With her mother gasping to catch her breath, the brave 4-year-old picked up the phone and made an important call.

She dialed 999.

It's the number for emergency services in the U.K. Little Suzie's quick thinking and her parents' lessons in health and safety definitely made a difference that day.

A dispatcher picked up and immediately started asking the child questions to gain some perspective of what was going on.

"She's just sitting on the sofa and doing nothing," Suzie replied when asked what her mother was doing. Later on, she explained, "I don't know if she can actually talk."

"How old are you?" she asked her mom repeatedly, trying to be as helpful as possible. Eventually, the emergency services responder asked to speak with her mother and had a vehicle sent to her right away.

Suzie's calm demeanor, along with the mature way in which handled this frightening situation, truly saved her mother's life.
