Mom Breastfeeds Her Triplets And People FREAK OUT. Why? I’m In Shock!!

When a kid is old enough to not only ask questions about the Tooth Fairy,  but also leave her an incisor or two, you would think that their breastfeeding days would be long behind them. But that’s not the case for Davina Wright, who has been breastfeeding her triplets, Willow, Connor, and Summer, since birth and is still nursing them to this day—at three-years-old!

The 45-year-old New Zealander, who currently lives in Hong Kong with her family, was initially doing 30-40 feedings per day with her precious tykes. Recently, she's scaled back to two 10-15 minute feedings per day, one in the morning and the other at night. She doesn’t breastfeed in public, however, because she’s aware of how the practice deviates from the norm.

Wright isn’t the only mom who is breastfeeding her toddlers. In fact, the parenting method called “attachment parenting” has been picking up steam in recent years, and has many celebrity advocates such as Alanis Morissette (watch the video below to hear her views on the controversial issue) and Mayim Bialik, who actually wrote a book on the topic called "Beyond the Sling."

Regardless of whether or not attachment parenting is beneficial for children, it sure doesn’t seem favorable towards parents and their— ahem—personal lives. Wright’s husband, Jason, spends his nights in the nursery with their two girls, Willow and Summer, bottle-feeding them with his wife’s breast milk, while Wright sleeps in her bed with her son Connor—who gets mama’s breast all to himself all night long.

Seems more like “one-on-three” time to us, though.

Her kids are able to walk and talk, eat solid food, and drink from a cup.

The three youngsters are pretty competitive and fight over who gets to be nursed first.

This is not the first time attachment parenting has received media attention.

In 2012, Time did a feature article about the trend.

“Big Bang Theory” star, Mayim Bialik openly advocates breastfeeding toddlers, she even wrote a book about it called “Beyond the Sling.”
