After traveling abroad for nine months, Lucy wanted to surprise her mom by returning for her special birthday celebration.
If you are like me, there’s just something about family homecomings that always tug at the heartstrings! Lucy’s reunion with her mom, Zandra, is no exception. In fact, she takes surprise homecomings to a whole new level of love and fun.
To set up the surprise, Lucy sent her mom a text, earlier that morning, with photos from Nevada. She and her boyfriend had been traveling the world for many months, across Asia, Australia, and the United States.
As the video opens, Zandra has no reason to suspect her daughter is actually hiding in her hotel bathroom.
However, with her dad’s help, Lucy is in London to give her much-loved mom the ultimate birthday gift – a surprise reunion that she will never forget!
When Zandra opens the bathroom door and sees her beautiful daughter, she cries out and then is so overwhelmed, she faints. Moments later, Zandra wakes up cradled lovingly in her daughter’s arms.
“I’m home,” Lucy reassures her stunned mom. The adorable mother and daughter share tears and laughter and certainly a most memorable birthday for all.
I know we can all relate to the feeling of being incomplete when separated from those we love, but we also feel joy and gratitude when we are finally reunited. Homecomings make everything better!
