Philippa Rice knows that being the mother to a toddler is a lot of hard work. While there's never a dull moment, most moms keep the ups and downs to themselves.
However, Philippa is different. The artist uses her life as inspiration for her illustrations. She also features her artwork in self-authored books.
Philippa describes herself as, "A sassy, independent woman who can do anything." Her two books, Soppy: A Love Story and My Cardboard Life, are proof of that.
Another example of Philippa's artistic and motherly talents was showcased in a series she made for Hourly Comic Day on February 1.
The event challenges artists to create a comic for every hour they are awake.
As you can imagine, Philippa was a little too busy with her toddler Robin to record every single hour. But hey, that's all the more reason her comic strip is so relatable!
Check out her creations below.

Here is a photo of the stars of the comic strip, Philippa and her precious toddler, Robin.

The day began with Robin joining her parents in bed and waking them up before the sun was out.

Luckily, Philippa's husband Luke gave her some extra alone time before the day really began.

Luke also provided some entertainment for Robin while Philippa enjoyed the most important meal of the day.

Of course, when Philippa was done eating, it was Robin's turn.

The family later enjoyed a well-balanced (and undoubtedly messy) meal for lunch.

The afternoon was spent with plenty of cuddles and music.

Philippa took advantage of a fleeting hour or two before Robin woke up from her nap.

Against all odds, Robin slept longer than she usually does, and Philippa contemplated doing something productive.
Just like the rest of us, though, she ended up distracted by her phone instead.

After a much-needed nap, Robin practiced her budding motor skills with the help of some unexpected items.

In the evening, Philippa fulfilled her motherly duties, which included forgetting what she was supposed to be doing in the first place.

Finally, Philippa was able to wind down with a nice adult beverage.
"That's the last one from me!" she wrote on Twitter. "Not really the end of the day but 12 hours from the first one and I'm surprised I made it that far!"
