It's unimaginable to think of how a military mom must feel when she says goodbye to her child. To know that her baby is going to be put in danger and she won't be there if something were to happen must be a huge burden to bear.
It goes against every mother's instincts to accept that as a normal situation, but so many must. And we have them to thank for our continued freedom.
But for every soldier that goes away, there is an opportunity for an incredible and emotional homecoming. And usually, Mom ends up being the star of the show when this happens.
That's just the way moms are, there's no telling how they'll react when they get to see their child after a long separation.
This mom is the perfect example. Her son spent four and a half years away, and when he finally came home, he didn't give her the heads-up. Instead, he waited for her to walk into her house to find him sitting there. And it's amazing!
Then, there's this sweet mom who can't contain her tears when her son shows up at her job after spending a year in Afghanistan. So incredible!
For one very unsuspecting mom, her son's return home left her nearly paralyzed with joy. Seriously, she couldn't even bring herself to open the door.
But when she finally does, her face is absolutely priceless!
