Stay-At-Home Mom’s Two Kids Choose Her Over Dad, So She Tells Everyone About His Parenting

When we think about parenting, most of us often think about how hard it is for mothers to raise their babies, often by themselves while their husbands work to provide for the family. They put up with the tantrums and the whims of young children, and often find themselves overwhelmed when they feel they aren't the "perfect" mothers.

As one stay-at-home mother is pointing out, many dads may not be at home with their families as often, but they deserve respect and recognition too. Parenting for them isn't easy, especially when they miss out on the most important milestones in their children's lives. Mother of two Tiffany Shriver penned a sweet post on Facebook explaining how her husband, Bryan, got "the worst part of the deal." But this doesn't stop him from showering his family with love and compassion, and being the best father he can be.

In the post, shared by the Facebook page Breastfeeding Mama Talk and which you can read below, she encourages all moms to pause and remind themselves that fatherhood — just like motherhood — isn't easy!

"The early morning wake ups to get out the door for work, so he can be the sole provider for his family. The weight of it all on his shoulders."

"He works hard so I can stay home to raise the family he helped me build. He misses out on first steps, and first words. While through all of it, he gets the worst part of the deal." [sic]

"The kids choose mom over him in almost all aspects. He does the heavy playtime, he loves them despite everything."

"He also loves me, despite it all. Bad moods, messy hair, exhaustion. He still tries to make me laugh, he still flirts with me, he supports me always and he helps me. While I'm struggling to keep it all together, he's the glue that fixes us. He never complains, he just does. He survives, and he loves with all of his heart."

"Don't forget how hard our husbands, and the father of our children, work to make this life what it is."
