Mom Pushes Children Out Of Burning Home To Save Them From Fire, Then Closes Herself Inside

On October 29th, 2016, Angel Fiorini and her three children went to sleep in their home in Newman Lake, WA. At 2 a.m. in the morning, Fiorini woke up coughing. She realized her house was on fire.

Fiorini jumped out of her bed to try to save her three children. She grabbed her 3-year-old son Vinny and 18-month-old daughter Rosalie and took them outside. She started to run back in to get her 7-year-old daughter Gianna, but as soon as she put the babies down outside the front door, they tried to follow their mom back in.

To keep them safe, Fiorini shut Vinny and Rosalie outside the house. She proceeded to look for Gianna around the house, but once she found her, they couldn't find the door. By then, smoke was filling the rooms and sucking oxygen from the house.

Fiorini was terrified that Gianna would be hurt in the fire, so she put her on the floor and laid on top of her. Both Gianna and Fiorini passed out as the house burned around them. It wasn't until a neighbor saw the smoke and called 911 that Fiorini and Gianna were dragged out of the doorway.

When emergency crews arrived, they took the entire family to the hospital. Vinny and Rosalie only had minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital quickly. Gianna had second-degree burns, but was released from the hospital a few weeks later.

Fiorini didn't fare so well, though. She had second- and third-degree burns over almost half her body, and she had to spend weeks in critical care. After five weeks in the hospital, though, Fiorini finally was allowed to go home to be with her children.

If it wasn't for Fiorini's heroic actions, she could have lost all of her children. Fortunately, due to her quick thinking, she was able to save her entire family.
