Being healthy is not an easy habit to keep up. It takes a lot of discipline to treat your body in the best possible way by feeding it nutritious foods, exercising regularly, and staying away from substances that can wreak havoc on them.
It's easy to resort to fast food and sitting in front of the television more than you know you're supposed to. Maybe you see this kind of lifestyle reflected in your weight, which can also affect mental wellness.
One 31-year mom, Krystal Gordon, feels that her "plump" body has affected her all her life.
She was very self-conscious as a child, and as an adult she saw her weight go up and down, especially after the birth of her son. She never felt confident enough to wear a bikini.
Gordon realized that she needed to make a permanent lifestyle change when she fed her infant son organic food while she was eating fast food. So shestarted exercising by doing CrossFit, and eating healthy, balanced meals.
Now Gordon has lost a significant amount of weight, and is proud of her accomplishments. So she decided to purchase a bikini, and wear it in public. She posted a photo of herself in the swimsuit online.
The mother then explained why people's responses made her cry for five days after she put the photo online…

Krystal Gordon was afraid to show her body in public all 31 years of her life.

She knew, after years of seeing her weight fluctuate, that she had to make a change. So she started training with CrossFit and began eating better food, instead of the fast food she was used to.

She started seeing the way her body was changing for the better, and how she felt better about herself.
In turn, she was motivated to continue her path to wellness.

Noticing the difference is very encouraging!

It was so encouraging that the 31-year-old decided to buy her first bikini, and wear it in public.
She took a photo of herself wearing it, and people have responded in an overwhelming way.
"Loving thy self baby. Embracing it all. Being proud of my progress. Accepting me for who I am right now even if it isn't where I want to be," she wrote on Facebook along with the photo below. "But if I can happily accept and celebrate everyone else's body I sure as hell deserve the same love from myself."

She received a ton of positive comments supporting her bold move. The sweet words made her cry happy tears for five days straight after posting the photo.
Now, she plans on wearing the bathing suit at least once every summer!
