A Mom Wrote Her Son This Brilliant Letter To Get His Behavior Under Control

Being a parent can be extremely difficult at times, particularly during the teenage years.

Kids often have to be reminded that they are, in fact, the kid — and that you are, in fact, the adult. This was exactly the case for one mother who was recently having trouble with her 13-year-old son.

A mother going by the name of Estella Havishman recently wrote a letter to her troubled teen, Aaron, and posted it to Facebook. Just like this teacher's touching letter to a student, Estella's note went completely viral.

In fact, the letter received over 85,000 likes and was shared over 160,000 times!

In the note, Estella addresses her son's unruly and argumentative behavior in one of the most brilliant and hilarious ways possible. And when I read the last line, I actually laughed out loud.

Scroll through to see Estella's brilliant bit of parenting. It should be noted that Estella is a victim of domestic abuse and is therefore using "Estella" as a pseudonym.

Following the letter going viral, Estella did receive some backlash online. She responded, "Let's get serious! I am not going to put my 13-year-old on the street… I want him to take pride in his home, his space, and appreciate the gifts and blessings we have."

She later posted this message on Twitter:
