Doctors Say Sick Baby Just Has A Virus, But Mom’s Instincts Lead To Rare Diagnosis

As a mother, it's always important to trust your gut instincts.

There's no one who knows your baby in the way that you do, or who can tell when something just isn't right with her. Of course doctors tend to know what's going on once the proper information is provided, but even they can't read your child the way that you can.

The close bond between mother and child is so important and, sometimes, it can even be the difference between life and death when your baby falls ill.

When Christina Grimes' baby daughter, Nadia, began have issues while eating, Grimes took her to the doctor.

Grimes was told that her little girl simply had a virus, but her gut was telling her that something bigger was going on.

The determined mom wasn't going to stop until she had some answers.

She went from doctor to doctor until Nadia was finally diagnosed with one of the rarest heart defects that professionals had ever seen.

The little one has now undergone multiple heart surgeries and continues to work towards recovery.

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with medical costs and they still have a ways to go before they reach their goal.
