Lakeland, FL, Chick-fil-A franchise owner Scott Brickhouse noticed something happened whenever his wife went away. While managing their four boys on his own, Brickhouse found it difficult to get the group to settle down for dinner, especially at a restaurant.
“I have four boys. They are great boys, but when Mom is not around, it can be challenging,” Brickhouse says in the video below.
He figured, if he has the issue on his own, then other parents probably do too. That's when he came up with the idea of Mom's Valet. He implemented the service at his Chick-fil-A store, and soon after, many other locations followed.
“We probably have 100 guys out of the chain, upwards of 2,000 that are doing (this),” Brickhouse says.
Many parents, like Jen Overholt, have trouble ordering food, waiting for it to arrive, and then getting everyone in their seats while it's still hot. With Mom's Valet, parents can order through the drive-thru, park the car, then have a table ready with high chairs waiting for them inside.
“Who does that? You can't even go to a restaurant and get it that fast and easy. I thought he was a genius with that idea,” says Overholt, a mother of seven.
Parents can even skip the drive-thru and order through an app on their mobile device.
“I will still have crying, but it won't be over the food delivery,” Overholt jokes. At least with Mom's Valet she can reduce some of the hassle.
What do you think of this new Chick-fil-A service? Would you want it nationwide?
