Mother Reprimands Body Shamers And Continues Her Fitness Journey

The journey toward reaching a weight-loss goal can definitely be hard.

It can mean rigorous training, hours in the gym, and a complete lifestyle change in the kitchen.

But people have worked hard to overcome their fitness obstacles, training in rain or shine, sticking to their habits, and even working out while pregnant!

For one mother, her fitness obstacle was the insensitive comments made by strangers on her way to the gym.

Hurtful words can shake us to the core and completely ruin our day, making us want nothing more than to head home, curl up in bed, and feel horrible.

And although this woman was completely validated to do so after being bullied by the mean men, she pushed through her tears and ended up inspiring the internet with one amazing post.

Scroll through below to read her words, which prove that carrying on despite the strife can lead you to feel amazing and completely empowered!

Having dealt with fluctuation in her weight in the past, especially after pregnancy, Brittany Michelle Hines committed to a more active lifestyle, which included yoga and trips to the gym.

While on her way to the gym this week, she stopped at WaWa to get gas.

While at the station, she was mocked and made fun of by a group of men who commented on her weight and called her names.

Hines could have easily let the mean comments ruin her motivation for the day.

After breaking down in her car, she could have headed home without visiting the gym and felt sorry for herself.

But instead, she channeled her emotions into an intense workout at the gym, refusing to let the comments get in the way of her goals.

After finishing the workout, Hines penned a powerful and triumphant response on Facebook:

"To the grown a** group of men outside of the Westminster Wawa. Your laughter and rude comments didn't stop me from busting my a** at the gym today."

"Yeah, I know I'm not looking my usual sassy self while pumping my gas. Please excuse my lack of makeup and my ratty old clothes. I did not leave the house to impress you today. I went to impress myself and to make my son proud of his mom."

"This 'hog,' as you so graciously deemed me, has been on a journey to better herself.

"My doctor was blown away by my blood work. My total cholesterol was 118, which is well below the 200 limit for normal. I don't have diabetes or high blood pressure either.

"How many of you can say the same? Especially those of you who are clinically obese?"

"This "fat a**" almost gave up today. After being ridiculed, I sat in my car in the parking lot and cried. I wanted nothing more than to go home and binge watch River Monsters. But I didn't.

"I gave you all a big screw you and busted my fat a**. Over an hour of sweating and huffing, but I did it.

"Now please excuse my big fat a** as I go home to my loving son who probably wants me to throw him around for another hour."

Hines was able to carry out her fitness goals no matter what. Her strong, motivating words are proof that success is truly the best revenge against bullies.
