If there’s one thing that’s super relatable in the world of social media, it’s finding mothers who aren’t afraid to poke fun at themselves.
Kayla Sullivan is a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at WLFI-TV 18 in Lafayette, Indiana. In this video posted to her Instagram, she isn’t afraid to air her dirty laundry for all to see in her perfect news-reporting voice.
“That’s exactly right, Bob and Barb. This is the third time I’m washing the same load of laundry this week,” Kayla says in front of her laundry machine as she holds up a bottle of detergent to her mouth to act as a microphone.
Kayla goes on to explain that the first time she rewashed the same load of clothing was because she was simply too lazy to come and take them out. Washing the same load for the third time was because, in typical mom fashion, she got too busy doing other things and just plain forgot.
“Now I feel like a complete and total loser. Authorities are working to determine why I am the way I am,” Kayla discloses with great sarcasm in her news-reporting voice.
Kayla finishes off her news report from the laundry room by adding that this was not the first time this happened to her, and it is very likely that it will not be the last.
The Indiana native has made a name for herself on social media with her tongue-in-cheek mom reports that effortlessly tap into what it’s like to be a real mom dealing with the stress of everyday life and how it can feel good to admit to it and just have a laugh.
